Tiny Cars, Big Adventures
How amazing are these photos of miniature Volkswagon buses off-roading on sandy beaches, tiny VW Beetles careening over boulders, and small vintage scooters racing down slick city streets? By playing with perspectives, Swiss photographer Kim Leuenberger has so creatively captured the theatrical adventures of her collection of toy cars. I especially love the beach scenes – makes you almost wish they were real!
Love Bloomed
How do I love this backyard wedding? Let me count the ways. The bride’s Temperley London floral dress, the groom’s custom poppy red suit, the dip dyed tablecloths, the oversized crepe paper flowers which were all DIY’d by the wedding party . . . I can go on. Caitlin Watson and Tanner Boyes’ enchanting celebration is just proof that a bit of imagination and creativity can go a long way. Adore!
Kolonaki Spring 2014
Everything from Spanish label Kolonaki‘s spring collection makes me want to frolic through lavender fields in Provence. You too, yes? I adore the trapeze crop tops paired with full skirts and cropped, wide leg trousers – and of course, the black ribbon trimmed straw hat is just the icing on the cake.
Asungtaba Bike Baskets
These handwoven bike baskets might be the best I’ve ever seen. Each basket is made by artisans for House of Talents, an organization seeking to empower artisan groups in West Africa by promoting self development. And fittingly, the baskets are named Asungtaba, which means “helping each other succeed” in Frafra – the language spoken in this community of basket weavers. Check out House of Talents for an entire selection of bike baskets and you’ll see why I am in love.
