The Brady Bunch

This 22,000 square foot eco-friendly home, in Brentwood, California, belongs to none other than Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady. Even with a koi-stocked moat, a lagoon-sized swimming pool and a grandiose loggia, the custom built mansion is tastefully done and has us dreaming of a version for ourselves – only ten times smaller. Check out the rest over at Architectural Digest.

I have to say, I find putting a statue of the Buddha, who chose to renounce his wealth (he was born a prince) to achieve spiritual realization and set others free in a room entirely dedicated to your clothing absolutely horrifying. The irony is just repugnant.

No house that is 22,000 square feet is eco friendly. The materials can be from “sustainable” sources, etc, but once you use that many resources on 3 people it is no longer sustainable. No one needs a house that big and to call it eco friendly is ridiculous.

This shows the same cluelessness that dahlia pointed out with the Buddha statue.

    Huge eye roll.
No house that is 22,000 sq. ft. is ego friendly. Playing into that idea is also bad for the failing health of our planet.
The furniture alone creates its own negative ecological impact. Do Gisele and Tom really need their egos stroked even further? This as “Eco” is a lie and an insult. Shame on WTF

Ahhhh… what a very cool example of a pair of nouveaux riches and their tasteless extravagance… Just goes to show how money doesn’t always equate class and elegance…

Nice looking house but upon further inspection, what it has in size, it lacks in charm. A bit much for two people, even with babies. Silly to call it eco friendly,

  17. I really like the barrel ceiling with a brick finishing. Every room in Brady’s home is tasteful. It’s chic and simple, absolute perfection.

The Brady Bunch goes to Washington D.C. is fun. The character Jan Brady is based on April Klich in Birmingham, Alabama. April Klich is not as pretty or fun as Jan Brady but WTF!
