Sikes So Cal

We’re more than halfway through remodeling our home which means the fun tasks, like selecting finishes and picking out furniture, have finally begun! I’ve been busy gathering inspiration and couldn’t help but fall in love with interior designer Mark D. Sikes‘ Hollywood Hills home. I love the California sensibility with its crisp palette, blue and white accents, and the occassional accented wall.

  1. Love everything about his home!
Its all in the details. I loved picking out all the finishes for my home when we renovated in 2011. Some people don’t think those things matter but they do.
The amount of compliments we get on our lucite door knobs is insane. To me they really bring the rooms up a notch.
Good luck with the rest of the reno.

Can someone explain the awesome distorted mirror on the wall behind the brown upholstered chair in the corner of a room. It looks like it could be an office or the corner of a bedroom. How would one pull off such a fantastic looking distorted mirror? I would love to try this.
