Leather Accent Chairs

It’s nearly been a year since our home renovation was completed and we’re still working on getting our living room together. One of the things my husband and I can never agree on is the sofa. He wants leather (gulp) and I . . . don’t. I think I’ve managed to convince him into a pair of comfy, broken in leather chairs instead – and fingers crossed we can finally pull the trigger. And in case he’s still on the fence, here are some inspiring photos to help sway him. Will it work? Stay tuned.

  3. Those chairs could sway any man, no matter what his personality is. The range of choices from modern to traditional, overstuffed to spare seems able to suit any lifestyle. What a great curation.

  4. Love these chairs. They may qualify as a suitable sub for a leather sofa but….
You might want to rethink that leather sofa attitude. I never wanted one but LOVE the one we have. Durable, gets better with age (can’t say that about most fabrics) and is a perfect backdrop for whatever else is in the room. If you could find an old broken down Chesterfield…swoon…..
Also, leather anything is great in a house with kids. May get darkened but that is just “better with age”.

  5. Erica, I’m with you! I absolutely love the leather as an accent piece, it almost stands out more and will allow you to incorporate different textiles. I think your husband should scroll through these pictures and then make a decision! I’m not a big fan of leather couches, first you’re ice cold, then it gets too hot! I vote for the chairs!

I think you nailed it with that third photo. The chairs are so deep, but not big and bulky. They invite any bum to have a go in them.

  7. All of these spaces are lovely! I love a good leather chair- sometimes more beautiful to look at than comfy, but still great.

In love with all of these. The distressed leather looks great! I used to hate it, I guess I just needed to see it styled properly. Thanks for sharing!
