Have A Cow, Man

My boyfriend and I came this close to impulsively scoring a handsome, sustainably-raised cowhide rug. The price was far higher than expected so we walked away empty handed. However, I’m officially on the search for another, as I especially love the idea of layering it over one of my many rugs at home . . . any leads would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t know about “sustainably raised,” but I got mine at IKEA for under $200.

They even have them at World Market now. Also, not sure about the “sustainably raised” part in terms of their product.

Check out Ebay and pick the Buy It Now ones. I’ve purchased three or four so far from a buyer out of Texas. Smaller rugs are around $100, larger ones aren’t much more.

    Two suggestions:
#1 If you are in the Chicago metro area, go to the Kane County Flea Market. The vendor is right inside the front gate. Asking price is $200; most dealers there will negotiate.
#2 Believe it or not IKEA has them. Don’t know quality but the price is reasonable,

The appeal of cowhide rugs has always been the luxurious, sophisticated feel it gives to any home. So it comes as no surprise that they are a constant staple in luxury homes. I got one mine from CowhideOutlet.com and has been the center piece in our home.
