Honestly WTF

Wild West

Always a sucker for anything western, I love this editorial. I’m headed to the small town of Nogales, Arizona in a few weeks to get fitted for a pair of my very own authentic and custom cowboy boots at Paul Bond. I can’t wait and will be sure to document the experience for ya’ll. Giddyup!

I KNOW it’s a little bit cheesy, but I’m a sucker for the Western look too. It’s funny, if you’re in coyboy country, you feel you can get away with the boots, the denim, even the hat. On the east coast, I feel a little silly wearing this stuff. But when I lived in London, suddenly my cowboy boots seemed cool again and I wore them without feeling the stinging judgement of city slicker snobs. Of course, the coolest thing in fashion is to not care what anybody thinks, so we might as well saddle up!

Hah, I’ve been to Nogales because my grandmother lives in a nearby (even tinier) town, Tubac. I’m headed down there tomorrow, actually. If you’re into that sort of thing, you can find amazing sterling silver jewelry in Arizona. I have beautiful crystal earrings that I got there for $10 a pair a couple of years ago, so keep your eyes peeled for treasure!

Wow stumbled on this site and was surprised and happy to find some familiar things. I actually am from the Nogales area. You are in for a treat with your new boots from Mr. Bond. The area is kinda has a few hidden treasures to be found.
