Wowzers!! This reminds me of Kazakhstan, I was there two years ago and it’s beautifully bright and colorful just like this! I must visit!

I posted these photos on one of my blogs as well a while back, and received a similar response re: exoticism, but my friend reminded me that this is exactly what it’s about when you’re backpacking…you wear all these wild, funky, outrageous clothes that you pick up for 10 cents from local markets. and you get to be creative and dress up like a crazy every day! i also feel that stunning visual imagery using both fashion and culture are harmonious rather than exploitative in this instance. props to testino – i love this spread
