Erica and I both love taking pictures and between the two of us, we have quite the camera collection. So you can imagine how excited we were when our friends at Lomography offered to giveaway one of their La Sardina cameras to one lucky reader. I’ll never forget my first experience shooting with a Lomography camera and experimenting with double exposure photography. Winding the film, hearing the clicks, and waiting patiently for the pictures to be developed reminded me how rewarding it once was to take photos before the digital age. I take my Holga with me almost everywhere. When I moved to London from the States for a few months, my first stop was at the Lomography store (since there isn’t one here in Denver). I think using film, experiment, and finding hiding treasures in your photographs is an amazing experience.

Lomography photos have so much depth in terms of interpretation. I have been dying to even just try a lomography camera, and went as far as to download a lomography ap on my iPhone! Here’s to hoping!

Gosh they have some cute cameras! I miss my old film camera a tiny smidgeon, just because it was so fun to be “allowed” to take pictures at family events and stuff as a kid. Buuuut, considering I have a $500 drop-resistant, under-water point-and-shoot masterpiece, I totally don’t need one. Besides, I don’t like the La Sardina’s casing options. I’d rather have the Diana F+ Gold, which is the same cash value (and which I linked to my FB for all my friends to roll their eyes at yet another “weird” thing I like). The additional features of La Sardina just don’t make up for it’s exterior. But thanks for pointing me to a cool company!
If I won that camera, I would sleep with it the first couple days because it’s so damn cute.

Double exposures are they best! My parents think I’m crazy for spending money on film, but there is something about film that you just can’t get with digital…and my double exposures freak out the people at walgreens when I get my photos developed, and that’s pretty hilarious
