Rapsodia Spring 2013

Warning: before you fall in love with Argentinian label Rapsodia, keep in mind that their über-romantic and bohemian threads are sadly not yet available here in the US. But it doesn’t mean we can’t continue to swoon over their spring collection – where jackets and dresses, inspired by embroidery and floral motifs from Thailand, Vietnam and Mynamar, are paired so perfectly with various washes and styles of denim. Bohemian rhapsody, indeed.

  1. LOV LOVE LOVE this. The little embroidered blazers are amazing. The colors are rich and the patterns are modern but have that ethnic flare to them. So sad that they don’t sell any of this in the US. I hope that a store will pick them up sooner than later.
    Thanks for sharing.

I think I love about bohemian looks is that they tend to feel chaotic but oh so right at the same time!

I´m from Argentina, where the brand has its stores. All their clothes are absolutely beautiful. The low point is that the quality of the materiales that they use are not good at all. Let alone the price of the things that they sale, 100usd for a pair of leggings, that you can get for 50usd at american apparel.

Omg I feel in love with design again. First real display of what this years summer collections should fl like. A simple twist on the usual over done Bohemian girl who could be a Gypsy … The fine attention to detail; layering of diFferent textures and silhouettes creates variety and depth … I love

I have clothes from maybe 5 years ago and it still remains flawless. Jeans are great too.
I think it’s the most oroginal brand in here.
I pay the prices gladly in order to get one of these wonders.

Sometimes it pays off to be an Argentinian. We all agree that the prices are too high, some clothes have poor quality and I’ve found that in some pieces the cut doens’t fit well. But overall they sell great clothes with awesome prints and designs.

Today, in Washington, DC (USA) I managed, unbeknownst to me, to purchase an “unpurchaseable” (I made that word up) Rapsodia silk jacket. (If I could attach a pic, I definitely would). I walked into Fia’s Fabulous Finds in Northwest DC and left with a treasure. I didn’t know it was until I googled the brand. I hadn’t heard of it before and the absolute decadence of the design and material struck me speechless. In the subsequent research, I have been numb with fabulous fashion happiness since. I hope to “stumble” across more of this brand and you never know what treasures you’ll find at Fia’s. I highly recommend you check out this gem of a boutique in our Nation’s capital.

  36. I’m lucky enough to have lots of Rapsodias stores in my country and I can tell you that while yes, it might be a little expensive, the clothes are so amazingly gorgeous that it is all worth it. Besides, the quality is amazing, like other poster said, I have things from many years ago and they’re still in perfect condition. Not to mention, for the amount of details in each piece these clothes are meant to last!
I wished they had an online store though, I’ll be sure to check it weekly in all honesty.
