My favorite season is when summer turns to fall, when the air is just crisp enough to break out the pants, outerwear and light layers . . . it gives me all the feels! And it’s also why the pre-fall collections are what I look forward to the most throughout the year. It’s a great time to year to invest in key pieces that will outlast the season and even carry you through several years of wear. Here is what we’re loving:

Head to toe blush: Rose quartz may be Pantone’s color of the year but we think this soft hue will never go out of style. Soft, neutral, and perfect . . . especially when it goes from head to toe.

Extra baggy pants: Ok, maybe floor grazing pants aren’t the most practical but damn, if you ever want to pull off a bad-ass look, extra long and baggy pants are it.

The perfect trench coat: You don’t need just one perfect trench. We say at least 2!

Meow: This classic pattern never goes out of style. Come fall, it’s all about wild cats prints on coats.

Crop & flare: An awkward length for some, the perfect length for us. We love how this new wave of cropped trousers are longer than culottes, just exposing the ankles. Plus, they’re great for showing off those new ankle boots!

50 shades of brown: Is brown the new black? We’re not completely replacing our primary color just yet but we’re definitely digging the earthy, tone-on-tone browns as a nice alternative.

The teddy bear coat: You might not need one until winter but why not get a head start on picking the coziest, shaggiest, more sumptuous teddy bear coat out there? And it can double as a blanket . . . win, win.
