Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2013

Posted by on

In honor of her very own fairy tale, Diane von Furstenberg‘s spring collection was fabricated with the polish of a princess and the heart of a gypsy. Seeing the stunning details in person last week transported me to all the exotic destinations that the collection was inspired by. And for those of you that might have missed her show in New York last month, you’ll have to check out the video below where Diane and several models captured the whole experience through Google’s new Glass technology. ” We live in such an amazing world. Things that we thought would be science fiction now exist. But fashion, technology, its all about life and being the women you want to be.”

Uhm, I’m not really into this Diane collection. Don’t have a particular reason… I guess that the materials look cheap for me.

I get vertigo just looking at those shoes. I’m not sure you are supposed to wear them. Maybe put them on a pedestal. Interesting as art though.

Thank you for letting me be a part of your wonderful world through the video…you are my alter ego…we are both of European origin, coming of age in the 60′s and showing the world that glamour and inspiration come at any age…Bravo! Love the line and the fun, fun shoes, and of course those cool glasses…if I could own anything I think it would be the swingy blue jacket…of course they are all statement pieces…I salute you.

I liked the video best. The story of the coin and her father. Other personal bits. Just enough to humanize her. Then of course the clothes and accessories. It all worked to draw you towards her brand even more.
