Inspired by 14th century Moorish architecture and ancient Islamic palaces, Ksar Char-Bagh is a luxurious and peaceful Mororrcan oasis that sits right outside of Marrakech’s mystical and bustling Old City. The dreamy rooftop terrace instantly reminded me of that iconic Talitha Getty image . . . stunning!

I’ve been dying to visit Marfa, Texas for some time now and my desire has grown exponentially after learning of El Cosmico, a refurbished vintage trailer campground by hotelier Liz Lambert. Even though it may not come with some of the standard amenities one might be used to, it seems like the only appropriate method to lodge in the Texan desert.

Taylor Steele‘s film, Castles In The Sky, was filmed in 5 locations (India, Iceland, Vietnam, Peru and Africa) in a span of 3 years, following some of the best surfers in the world to the farthest reaches of the known surf world and beyond. I’m in love with this trailer: the song, the images…everything.

Delphine Dussoubs, a 22 year old French artist, documented her 2 week journey through Morocco by making a scrapbook of collages and drawings. One of the places she visited was Chefchaouen (also known as Chaouen). The entire blue village sits in the Rif Mountains and is a magical oasis. I’m lucky enough to say that I’ve been and its a pleasure to see it through Delphine’s eyes. If you ever go to Morcocco it’s truly a must see.

Surrounded by an aqua sky and turquoise sea, this Maldivian resort is heaven on earth and one of many luxury villas from Alilia Resorts. The ecological design was guided by environmental impact studies before its implementation and as a result, the resort promotes rainwater harvesting and minimizes disruption to corals around the islands. An 18+ hour trip to the Maldives may not be in our near future…but at least we can close our eyes and pretend for now.
