Located in the rural town of Roxbury Connecticut is an old dairy barn that was recently converted into a three-bedroom house. With over 7,000 square feet, the space is filled with amazing details like a circular sofa built around a white plaster hearth, a pizza oven, heated tile floors, and tons of light and open space.
Vintage letterpress drawers, card catalogs, printer drawers and apothecary cabinets are all perfect places to store your tiny treasures. I’ve been keeping my eye out for a letterpress drawer for a long time before I starting looking online at Etsy and Ebay. And it turns out Craigslist came to my rescue with someone giving away seven letterpress drawers for free. Bingo. Persistence is key!
My love affair with rugs began in Turkey with kilims. And now, the obsession continues with India’s dhurries. Sweden designers Lina Zedig and Marcus Åhrén explore new cultures and age-old techniques for creating one of a kind dhurries in their nomadic studio. Each Oyyo dhurrie is handwoven by a group of artisans who live just outside of Jodhpur, India’s blue city, with 100% organic cotton and richly pigmented, vegetable dyes. Honestly, need!
Todd Selby gave us a sneak peek of Erin Wasson’s lofty apartment in Greenwich Village back in 2008. Now The Coveteur and Elle are giving us a tour of the model turned designer’s closet in Venice Beach – and of course, it’s everything you thought it would be and more. With plenty of vintage bohemia, southwestern hats, cowboy-esque boots, and jewelry from her Low Luv line, we officially have wardrobe envy.
Mustard has the ability to add a real happy and warm pop of color to your decor. It pairs fantastclly with grey, pink, and almost any natural tone. And whether you go bold with an upholstered piece of furniture or use it as an accent color, it’ll always get noticed.
Beauty may be her hertiage, but Aerin Lauder‘s true passion lies in home decor. Not only does she have a dreamy Aspen chalet and a glamourous Manhattan office to back it all up, Aerin recently launched her own lifestyle brand to include a collection of gilded home objets and accessories. And I’m buying into all it’s urbane glory. I mean, who doesn’t need a solid brass match striker?! Honestly.
