Yuketen

I’ve recently come across Yuketen, an outstanding American based luggage and footwear company. Designer Yuki Matsuda pays homage to the American crafts and traditions by treasure hunting for outstanding examples of footwear and luggage in remote locales spread out across the rolling Appalachians to the high Sierras. And thanks to him, there is yet another moccasin I need in my life.

The early bird caught the worm. The worm being this sold out gorgeous black lace floral print dress at Pixie Market and the early bird not being me. What hurts even more is that it was only $94. Thankfully, there are many other pretty dresses to pick from here. But I will still lament missing out on this treasure . . . don’t you hate it when that happens?

Carine Roitfeld has taken the grandfather out of the pocket watch, making it modern and chic in this editorial for Vogue Paris. I would love to hang one from my handbag. Would you wear a pocket watch?

The Sartorialist did not remember the name of the the street in Madrid where this photo was taken and I am not surprised. I lived there and could probably only remember a handful of street names! I am envious of this Madrileña’s legs, intrigued by her layering, and in love with her perfectly worn in Amazona Loewe bag, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.
