Earlier this week, Palmer of Aether Apparel introduced me to these sexy and innovative ceramic megaphones from the brilliant minds at En & Is. Honestly, I’m flipping the WTF out. The gold one is already at the very top of my wish list – so much so that I’m ready to put myself on a temporary shopping ban just to have one. There, I said it. It’s that good.
Built with Swiss quartz movements and Italian sailcloth straps, these sporty, handsome, and dive-inspired watches from Skywatch have us actually showing up on time these days. Not only do they deserve credit for keeping us stylishly punctual, the Southern California based company gives back to the community by donating timepieces to charities and forming partnerships with a select group of non-profit organizations. We are such huge fans that we’ve partnered with Skywatch to give away a 3-hand watch or chronograph, of any size and color, to one lucky reader. Simply leave a comment below, follow Skywatch on Twitter or like them on Facebook, and a winner will be selected at random on Monday, February 27th. (Sorry, limited to US & Canada residents only. Color selection subject to availability. Winner will be announced and contacted by email. Good luck! xx) *** Contest is now closed. Congratulations to Angie N!
Traveling the world in search of recycled textiles, precious stones and ethical leather, the husband and wife duo behind Stela9 have created a line of vibrant and gorgeous handcrafted handbags. My inner wanderlust is jonesing for each and every one – especially the weekender bags! Today, their online store officially launches and as usual, a portion of all proceeds are returned to the communities and skilled artisans that have contributed to these bags. Honestly, cool.
Throughout history, Canada’s First People wore mukluks and moccasins to protect their feet while at the same time keeping them light to survive the elements of nature. Today Manitobah, founded by siblings of Aboriginal and European descent, is keeping the tradition alive by creating authentic, handmade, and functional footwear. Not only is the Canada-based company connecting their past with the present but a large part of their mission is to revive the arts by way of business-building partnerships with Aboriginal artists and elders. For the past couple of months, Lauren and I have been practically living in our beyond comfortable, shearling and leather mukluks. So in celebration of our newfound obsession, we’re partnering with Manitobah to give away a pair of their Gatherer Mukluks to one lucky reader. Simply leave a comment below, follow Manitobah on Twitter or like them on Facebook, and a winner will be selected at random on Monday, February 13th. (Sorry, limited to US & Canada residents only. Color selection subject to availability. Winner will be announced and contacted by email. Good luck! xx ***Contest is now closed. Congratulations to Naomi S.!)
Australian brand We Are Handsome is dipping into floral for the first time in their fifth collection, which is appropriately titled The Romantic. My favorite is the Secret Garden suit, splashed with blooming wildflowers and sassily dotted with tiny puppy heads throughout. The pets pictured on the prints actually belong to the staff of We Are Handsome, which makes their designs so darn likable and charming. I can’t wait until the collection hits stores next month as I’ve been searching for a one piece that doesn’t remind me of something my mother could own.
