HWTF x BaubleBar

Posted by on

We’ve got a major soft spot for BaubleBar. I mean, how can you not love their ability to make high quality and super chic jewelry at the most affordable prices? When they approached Lauren and I to curate a collection to kick off their new Guest Bartender series, we couldn’t be more thrilled about the opportunity. Inspired by our deep affection of vintage costume jewelry and our obsession with layering necklaces and stacking bracelets, we’ve hand selected an assortment of well crafted pieces that are versatile, timeless and elegant. Whether the jewelry is worn alone or layered, each piece is something that would be part of our everyday rotation. We’re extremely proud of the collaboration and hope you guys love it as much as we do. Happy shopping and definitely be sure to let us know what your favorite pieces are from the collection!

Repossi

After three generations, Repossi Joailliers continues to carry on it’s rich and traditional legacy with Gaia Repossi at the artistic helm of the company. Though she’s influenced the brand with modernity and youth, occasionally in collaboration with tastemakers like Alexander Wang, Joseph Altuzarra and Vanessa Traina, the storied skill of ancient metalsmiths is still preserved in the jewelry. I especially love Repossi’s now iconic yellow gold ear cuff and the use of black gold in some of the Moorish designs – but let’s be honest, I’d settle for any of these timeless gold stunners!

In collaboration with LoveGold. You can follow LoveGold on Twitter & Facebook for more photos of beautiful jewelry.

Love, Freda

I recently visited Freda Salvador‘s new flagship store in San Francisco and picked out a pair of shoes for myself from their spring collection. You can imagine how difficult it was to narrow down my selections. Would it be a pair of toe ring sandals with a removable crystal strap? A pair of snake-printed booties? Or a pair of slip-on loafers with a detachable saddle? Alas, I decided on the most delicious and comfortable pair of black, patent leather D’Orsay loafers adorned with Swarovski crystals tied on with neon green accents – I honestly haven’t stopped wearing them since. Highly recommend . . .

Janessa Leone

With the sun out and with the music festival season just around the corner, the one and only accessory you really need is a wide brim wool felt hat. Any one of Janessa Leone‘s menswear inspired hats make the perfect statement while still looking effortlessly chic. Her sophomore collection, entitled Shadows, consists of 8 timeless hats meant to be passed down to many future generations.

Inspired by medieval tools and armor, designers Melissa Losada and Marcela Velez have distinguished their collection of luxury handbags with a single linear gold handle. The juxtaposition of an inimitably sleek and modern detail with a such a classic silhouette puts M2Malletier on the top of our handbag wish list!

We couldn’t be more excited about the launch of Bly, a newly designed site that allows the wanderlust in all of us to travel and shop some of the world’s best bazaars and flea markets. Bly will visit a new city every two months, offering over 200 one-of-a-kind home goods and accessories along with profiles of various local artisans, insightful stories and street photography. This month’s premiere city is the ever so colorful and bustling Mumbai, India, and word has it that Kumasi, Ghana and Bukhara, Uzbekistan are next on the itinerary. In the meantime, I’ll be busy shopping for vintage saris, antique brass objects, and handpainted trunks . . .
