If you can only take away one, very important lesson from Whyred‘s Autumn/Winter Collection, it should be: NAVY x (BRIGHT + BOLD) = PERFECTION!

David Koma has created a tantalizingly HOT 5 piece capsule collection for Topshop. Although it is Topshop’s most expensive collaboration yet, with accessories and dresses ranging from $160-$560, the signature structural detail and piping (and fabric quality) involved in Koma’s designs are certainly not compromised. So if you want to get your hands on a piece of Koma, the collection goes on sale at the New York and London flagship stores and online on February 16th.

There really isn’t anything I don’t want/need/covet/crave from Yeojin Bae‘s Spring 2011 Collection. At 15, the Korean born Australian dropped out of high school to attend the Whitehouse Institute of Design. 13 years later, Bae’s sharp tailoring, laid back silhouettes, and cutaway detailing has become the signature of her eponymous line. And honestly, anyone who has me crushing on a woman’s suit is a star is my book. That blazer is makin’ me crazy!

Holy moly. This shit is gonna spread like wildfire. Oscars? Anna? WTF. WOW. Update (now that I’ve picked my jaw up off the floor): This collection was initially inspired by Riccardo Tisci’s admiration for Kazuo Ohno, a legendary Japanese dancer known for a style of conceptual dance called Butoh. With the late Ohno as his muse plus the influence of Japanese robots and toys, hats by Philip Tracy, and as much as 4,000 hours of sewing for a single dress, Tisci created only 10 looks for his Spring Couture collection. Less is more. Proof.

It’s no surprise that the work of Mary Katrantzou is featured in V‘s upcoming ‘Discovery’ issue, featuring the next generation of emerging fashion designers. A relatively new designer, Mary has already made her mark with her simple silhouettes, emblazoned with hyper-realistic, richly innovative, bold colour prints. Her Spring 2011 collection is entirely printed with images of lavish hotel and stateroom interiors by digitalizing fragments of pages from vintage copies of Architectural Digest and The World of Interiors. Whether you dig her dresses or not (and I do!!), you can’t deny her talent and willingness to take a risk.

Geodes and leather hats were my 2 favorite things in the Just Cavalli Spring 2011 collection. I love my Kakadu leather hat and wear it everyday.
