Rainbow colored dresses and unicorns motifs, long tiered maxis and cosmic stars patterns . . . these are a few of my favorite things. Pim, Kly, and Matina are the three sisters (Sretsis is Sisters spelled backwards!) behind this whimsical collection and aim to inspire girls to experience the regular joy of dressing up rather than locking up clothes only for special occasions. I’m inspired. Mission accomplished!
Club Monaco‘s newest collection is inspired by the 50s beatnik movement and the iconic leading ladies of the 60s and 70s, such Jane Asher, Edie Sedgwick and Jean Shrimpton. We’re loving the modern retro-bohemian vibe and longing for the airy blouses, midi skirts, long cardigans, beaded scarves, and felt hats. We’re officially ready for early fall . . .
Gypsy dresses and harem pants and billowy blouses, oh my! Cynthia Vincent‘s Resort 2012 Collection is all about peace, love and happiness . . . and right up my alley. And what a great idea to update a maxi skirt or dress by tying it into a side knot!
Overflowing with tribal prints, geometric cutouts, and vibrant colors, Mike Gonzalez‘s perfectly styled summer collection is making me want to hold onto my favorite season for as long as I can. And the oversized braided hair wrap is just begging to be DIYed – so WTFabulous.
Not surprisingly, Mara Hoffman has wooed us once more with another covetable collection of swimwear and beachy frocks. Although we must wait until next year to get our hands on the tribal-printed pieces, the easy to replicate double-braids, spotted on the runway, will hold us over just fine. (So we think.) You can do it yourself by parting your hair down the middle, creating a french braid on each side until they hit the base of the neck, and then switching to two fishtail braids. It’s an impressive and romantic do – perfect for summer!
