Mary Katrantzou + Erik Madigan Heck

Mary Katrantzou has once again joined forces with photographer Erik Magidan Heck with a series of dreamlike images highlighting pieces from her spring and fall collections. In their second and third collaborative effort, these photographs were inspired by early Parisian Surrealist paintings, Catholic iconography, and Greek mythology. Honestly, mesmerizing.

Roberto Cavalli Resort 2013

Roberto Cavalli has always been the master of bold and exotic prints but his resort collection is somewhat of a pleasant departure from seasons past.  Tuxedo tailoring and floor length bohemian hemlines came in bold, floral prints and porcelain-inspired, baroque patterns in shades of blue, purple and yellow. Bold chokers and sick shoes finished it all off. I’m absolutely dying over each and every single piece!

Scotch & Soda’s Amsterdams Blauw

Inspired by the buzzing, fast-paced culture of New York City and the Bedouin state of mind of Marrakech, Scotch & Soda turned out a covetable collection of jeans, shirts and jackets for their denim line Amsterdams Blauw. I’m digging all the intense blue denim washes and especially loving the oversized hooded coat.

Christian Dior Fall Couture 2012

A series of rooms, in a Parisian venue, were blanketed with over a million luscious flowers . . . the scene was impeccably set for Raf Simon‘s debut collection for Christian Dior. Full skirted and shortened peplum gowns were paired with cigarette pants, long length dresses were simply monochromatic and modern, retro shapes were shaped in watercolor-like silk prints, and Stephen Jones veils covered vibrantly hued, wing-tipped eyes and bright red lips. A wonderful beginning to a seemingly perfect fairy tale, n’est pas? Check out the rest of the collection here and see how it all came together in the video below.
