These cool and seemingly effortless looks from Rabens Saloner makes me wish we could drag these last few weeks of summer out as long as possible. Let’s pack our bags with long lavender chiffon dresses, earth-toned cotton separates, and loose fitting grey sweaters and fly off to a faraway place . . .
Mary Katrantzou has once again joined forces with photographer Erik Magidan Heck with a series of dreamlike images highlighting pieces from her spring and fall collections. In their second and third collaborative effort, these photographs were inspired by early Parisian Surrealist paintings, Catholic iconography, and Greek mythology. Honestly, mesmerizing.
Roberto Cavalli has always been the master of bold and exotic prints but his resort collection is somewhat of a pleasant departure from seasons past. Tuxedo tailoring and floor length bohemian hemlines came in bold, floral prints and porcelain-inspired, baroque patterns in shades of blue, purple and yellow. Bold chokers and sick shoes finished it all off. I’m absolutely dying over each and every single piece!
Inspired by the buzzing, fast-paced culture of New York City and the Bedouin state of mind of Marrakech, Scotch & Soda turned out a covetable collection of jeans, shirts and jackets for their denim line Amsterdams Blauw. I’m digging all the intense blue denim washes and especially loving the oversized hooded coat.
A series of rooms, in a Parisian venue, were blanketed with over a million luscious flowers . . . the scene was impeccably set for Raf Simon‘s debut collection for Christian Dior. Full skirted and shortened peplum gowns were paired with cigarette pants, long length dresses were simply monochromatic and modern, retro shapes were shaped in watercolor-like silk prints, and Stephen Jones veils covered vibrantly hued, wing-tipped eyes and bright red lips. A wonderful beginning to a seemingly perfect fairy tale, n’est pas? Check out the rest of the collection here and see how it all came together in the video below.
Honestly, if Mary Poppins was a real-life character in the 21st century, I’d imagine she’d be hip enough to wear Marni‘s resort collection . . . head to toe!
