These teased updos, photographed backstage at Clements Ribeiro, are right up my low maintenance alley. Give one half of a thick headband a full twist, slip it on over an unfussy pile, add some color to the lips, and you are good to go!

When I first discovered Yves Saint Laurent’s Faux Cils in Extreme Blue, almost 10 years ago, it immediately became the only mascara I’d ever wear. So after spotting an even more vivid hue on the eyelashes of models at Stella McCartney‘s fall show, I became a bit envious. Is it time to move on to bolder and brighter? Do you wear colored mascara? If so, I’d love to hear your recommendations!

Yesterday at Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld upped the ante with yet another imaginative and sensational spectacle – this time with crystals as the prominent theme. Rich-toned, dark hued ensembles were embellished with crystal adorned hems, epaulets, heels, and accessories. Lesage, the legendary couture embroidery house, created bejeweled strips that boldly defined models’ eyebrows. Far out and extraordinary.

After stopping a girl sporting an impressive manicure during fashion week, we were introduced to her blog MissLadyFinger. Not only does Tayrn have a slew of insanely fabulous runway-inspired nail art tutorials, she posted this gem of a Chanel video which had us giddy with excitement. This week we’re turning to our friend and beauty expert Sarah Howard, of Beauty Banter, who is indulging us with her delectable brown sugar lip scrub tutorial. Inspired by one of her favorite lip polishes, Sarah recently discovered how simple it was to make her own organic version at home. The timing couldn’t be more ideal as winter’s typically unforgiving weather has us yearning for soft and smooth lips! You’ll need:
- pure coconut oil
- honey
- brown sugar
- a teaspoon
- a tablespoon
- a mixing bowl
- an empty jar or 2.5 oz baby food jar
- labels (optional)
