I’ve never been a fan of the pink hair trend so it surprises me how much I love the idea of a purple dye job. Purple just seems softer and less harsh than pink. And with hues like orchid, periwinkle, violet, lavender, lilac, rose and deep burgundy, there’s a shade for most all hair types. Now I would just need the guts to take the purple plunge.

Love this. And as a recent platinum blonde myself (http://bit.ly/1frexui), I kind of think this is where I might be headed next. I love being uber blonde, but I imagine that eventually I will need a change and it only makes sense to take advantage of the fact that I can finally go pastel! While I didn’t love the cotton candy pink, I have to say that when Siena Miller went rose gold that kind of rocked my world, so I thought maybe I’d lean that way. But these are some great shots and now I’m thinking maybe this is the way to go. Love the first two shots especially, plus those super pale icy ones in the middle of the bunch. Uuugh, I used to have pretty dark purple hair, but then I dyed it brown because it was hard to maintain. Purple hair is seriously the best hair and this post is dangerous for me to read. I need purple hair in my life again!

Seriously, oh my gosh the purple hair is amazing! I don’t think I’d ever have the courage to dye my whole head such a colour, but this post has definitely sparked my desire to dye my hair a bold colour, even if it’s just the tips or something more subtle like that. The second last row of photos was definitely my favourite.

YES YES YES!!! I had turquoise last fall (and growing up every color of the rainbow) but I have to keep it more subtle for professional reasons…I have some purple I’m planning to mix to a light lavender for tips soon! Saving all of these for inspo

I just recently dyed my hair a very deep dark purple…it is fabulous…I wish I had been brave enough to do it years ago…if you love the purple hair just do it girls…there are many shades to chose from, I have done the lavender which I liked but as an older lady it looked too much like a granny rinse on me…the dark purple however rocks!
