Jason Wu S/S 2012

Jason Wu‘s Spring Collection was off the chain with ultra feminine Kaws-inspired prints paired with Wu’s classically tailored silhouettes. But what really took the cake was the stunning makeup and bold hair. I’m obsessed with the needle-like black feathers arbitrarily bobby pinned into a messy do and the vibrant orangish red lips. Check out the how-to here.

I think this is an edgy look, but subtle enough to wear in real life (at leat for me). I have these feathers, and I love trying new things with them. We’ll see how it goes!

    Also, view my feathery accents:

I always love Jason Wu’s shows. But mostly it was only the clothes that impressed me so much, and now it’s the MAKEUP!! It looks amazing, I’m crazy about the lips and of course the hair!

Love the nasty needlefeathers. Like evil birds nested in their hair. In a good way, of course. And yes yes YES to the bright orangey red lip. I just bought Nars Heatwave and am obsessed.

  15. Great post, thanks for sharing. Somehow I really like it, but on the other hand I feel like shouting WTF, that’s weird! But cool, very innovative – and that’s what fashion’s really about, huh.

This was probably my favourite styling of all the collections for the spring! I love the juxtaposition of the hard angular feathered hair and strong lip with the soft flowy feminine dresses he created! Thanks for sharing!
