The Art Of Quilling

Yulia Brodskaya is a master at the art of quilling, using strips of colorful paper that is rolled, shaped and glued to create the most magnificent works of art. As much as I absolutely love her typography, as seen in Startbucks or Hermès ads, I am most impressed with her portrait series. Yulia so brilliantly challenges the limitations of traditional quilling techniques by bringing these three dimensional portraits to life. Each of her subjects have the most poignant and emotional facial expressions . . . they’re simply extraordinary!

  10. The bottom one is my favorite. They are so detailed and look very unique.
I’d love to actually see one in person to be able to really understand the level of detail that goes into these pieces of art. Pretty brilliant!
